German test!! Wowie
SOTD: Siouxsie and the Banshees - "Cascade"
It feels like a lot has happened, and if it actually hasn't been that much.
Yesterday, there was a quiz in German. I'm sure I did pretty good since when the professor was looking over the test to make sure I answered all the questions, he said "[Valentin] did great!" I do hope I made my capitals more clear this time around, though I'm sure I made at least 2 actual errors on the quiz. Once again, I was the first one finished. I also got my first German quiz back from a few weeks ago, with a score of 99%.Also before German, I walked with a friend to a few places: Walmart (he wanted an energy drink and I guess they're cheaper there; I bought a 20 oz RedBull for myself ($3.79... about $5 with sales tax)), Trader Joe's, PetSmart, Best Buy, and then we went back to the college. For about an hour before the class started, I did some last-minute review.
From ~2:30-8:00 yesterday, I ended up getting sucked into Taylor Swift-related things... and I don't even like her music. I won't consider it time wasted because I had fun (as I usually do with hyperfixations), but this was a lot. I listened to her debut album and her holiday EP, re-listened to 'Evolution of a Snake's (TS fan-podcast) first episode, went through all her appearances at award shows for '06-'07, her performances (which weren't very good), and I plan to go through some interviews today. As well as her (former?) favorite Tim McGraw song, "Can't Tell Me Nothin'" + go through some unreleased songs from this era. I also went through all the photos I could find from '06-'07 from taylorpictures.net.Today, I checked up on my WWU application and it turns out I need my grades from years 9-11, and I only gave them 9-10. I'll need to get that straightened out (Running Start reasons; different establishment, different transcript, need to get it all combined; will happen on Monday, since my HS's registrar is out sick). In the meantime, I wrote an additional admissions essay (this one being about my previous indecisive self, and how my grades in junior year don't reflect properly reflect me, how I decided on a major- even if a little late, and a few future goals) and submitted that.
I also started filling out the FAFSA and plan to eventually fill out the WAFSA. Great!
