Overwhelmed but excited!
SOTD: Bauhaus - "Slice of Life"
These are days 6-9 of productivity! Hurray!
Somewhat productive; I did at least 1 thing every day! Most importantly; I got started on my psychology coursework for next week (basically none this week, because today is my college's staff furlough day, tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and Native American Heritage Day is on Friday), and I also submitted a post to my creative writing class... BUT I have been procrastinating on German homework. I just do not get the "der" words quite yet. :(
Yesterday, I got word that I got accepted into Western!! The only university near home ("near" being a 1 hour drive or less)!!! It's also the only uni I applied to, so... to prepare for WWU, I need to: get official transcripts (wayyy later, once I graduate HS and get my AS-T), take the ALEKS (twice! a math placement assessment), go to a meeting.... it feels way more daunting than it is. I just don't like big tests/exams/"assessments." It also isn't a particularly difficult university to get into, so I'm not sure how proud I should be. My mother didn't seem too excited, strangely... and it affected me more than I want to admit.
I also updated my LinkedIn for the first time in a while (added a profile picture + header picture), and did my high school's HSBP thing. I still don't get why it's such a big deal, or why I need to do it. Speaking of, I need to get started on my senior presentation!! And fill out the forms I need for graduation!!!
Oh!! I also finally sent in a photo to my high school, so I WILL appear in the yearbook (guaranteed!). My mom mentioned possibly wanting to pay $50 so I'll have half a page in the yearbook... I'd rather she not do that, but alright. Fine.
On a more relaxing note, I want to start actually reading stuff on my TBR, so today I might begin Frankenstein. I also got a random surge of motivation to begin dressing a lot better. Unsure why.
Lately, I've been using my "serious, important" journal way more than I planned. I usually only use it for career/first job planning (I want something relevant), driving lessons, list of goals + monthly updates on progress, uni applications/preparations, and other stuff I may want to keep with me well into the future. It's nice to see how much I've already progressed. Plus, it’s helped my confidence.
