Thanksgiving, journaling, hatred

SOTD: Chrissy Chlapecka - "Apollo"

Days 9 + 10/100 of productivity!!! I wasn't very productive over Thanksgiving break, but that's literally fine. It's less that being unproductive bothers me, I just do not function well when I have nothing to do.

Anyway, academically, I: did 2 assignments for German (one on der- and ein-words, and one for adjective endings), posted 2 replies to a CW 2 discussion board, did all of the remaining quizzes for psychology (an exit quiz, an optional cumulative final, and the one on the most recently read chapter), and I finally started reading my SAT prep-book. Given that I'm registered for mid-March, I have plenty of time. I also finally submitted a photo for my portrait in the yearbook... and it is becoming increasingly likely that my mother will pay $45+ for half a page... she doesn't need to do that.

Also, I finally started reading Frankenstein (for the purposes of keeping my attention, both reading off of a physical book I own + listening to an audio book simultaneously) today! I am only past the letters so far, and haven't started chapter 1 yet. That is on my list for tomorrow :) Currently, it's not like I expected it to be at all.

I also ended November with a page about my goal progress (which I do monthly): being more social, working on a YouTube video about Taylor Swift (for FARRRR into the future), college application/acceptance stuff, blogging, reading, grades, SAT, and studying effectively.

I have been getting reminded more and more often of how much I HATE social media (excluding YouTube, Tumblr (mostly)). I always end up doom-scrolling and wasting more time than I intended and it is ruining my life (exaggerating, sort of, but still).

I have lately been considering learning to sew better (fixed pockets in my coat a few days ago) so I could make a blanket of sorts to honor myself + graduating high school? I don't know why I have that urge. I just think it'd be neat for me to have (or at least design; school logo/mascot, class of 2026, albums of bands I listened to in primary school, favorite subjects, quotes ("open minds open legs"), school colors... et cetera. Not necessary high school specific (IRE + MMS + MHS)). It would be neat to have a blanket (or something) with every degree I get (one for diploma, one for AS, one for BS (or MS), MD...). Maybe just illustrating it would be enough to satiate the urge.

On a lighter note, I found my MP3 player :D and I turned yet another candle into a pen holder (once I'd burned the candle most/all of the way through).
